Obama sanctions hurting Russian economy in less than a week. . . . . remarkable.

Rebecca Shabad / The Hill:
Obama aide: US sanctions effectively weakening Russia —  White House deputy national security adviser Tony Blinken argued Sunday the United States' sanctions are effectively hurting Russia's economy even though they haven't deterred Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Editor's notes:  What an incredible lie.  A week ago,  Obama levied financial sanctions against seven Russian businessmen.  Seven.  And Saturday,  he announced further sanctions.  Yesterday.

There are more than 440,000 registered businesses in 22 cities in Russia, and thousands more in the smaller communities (Source:  http://mxkr.ru/en/ ).  The notion that after a single week,  sanctions against no more than 20 individuals is causing Russian pain,  is laughable.

Russia supplies oil to 25% of Europe,  on average,  with several European nations getting 40 to 60 percent of their energy supply from Russia.  China just agreed to purchase it's fuel from Russia and is putting financial pressure on Ukraine,  during this crisis.

Understand that sanctions cannot be said to have worked,  if the goal driving sanctions is never realized.  Iran is a case in point.  The Marxist Media is constantly pointing out that "sanctions in Iran have worked,"  while,  at the same time,  admitting that Iran continues to pursue its goal of nuclear independence.  In other words,  sanctions have not worked.

Expect the same outcome with regard to Russia.    Currently,  the last people in this world aware of American sanctions,  are the Russian people.  Because of the internal Russian propaganda machine (yes,  America is not the only country with an in-house, government run propaganda machine), few in Russia are even aware of American sanctions, much less are feeling the pain of the Obama sanctions  . . . .  even after an entire 7 days of American punishment against Mother Russia.
