Subject: FYI: complaint against Bourbon Boy Smith
Fox News:
Over the years, the Fox News wannabe personality show host, Shep Smith, has been busy as the Bourbon Boy News Caster from the South.
My complaint against the man, began years ago and, today, he posted, yet, another milestone.
Going back in time, I give you this brief review of Smith and his arrogant reporting style (there are dozens of examples).
While taking the side of one of the most self-serving reporters of all time, David Gregory, Bourbon Boy once posited this question: “What if David Gregory had gotten an answer now and then” and accused the Bush White House of making people look like morons on every occasion a question was asked. (Oct 27,2008) Apparently he forgot that millions watched the accusatory antics of Gregory, over the years. What we saw was nothing similar to Smith’s “reality.”
On Nov.13, 2008, he denied that the mainstream media (meaning ABC, CBS and NBC) was in the tank for the liberal agenda -- an incredibly stupid denial.
On another occasion (and more than once). he arrogantly dismissed waterboarding as “torture” -- “This is America. We don’t torture people” but we sure as hell kill them, along with their neighbors via drone attacks. Somehow, to Smith, killing the terrorist and their neighbors is acceptable, but, using harsh interrogation methods that leave the terrorist fully recovered, alive and well, afterwards, is atrocious. To state the matter differently, it is alright with Smith for our soldiers to die on the battle field while we serve captured terrorist meals of their choice and treat them with a civility that denies health and safety for our warriors. Only an ass believes this is righteous.
During the GOP primaries, he invited Rick Santorum onto his "news" program only to ambush the Senator on the gay issue, forgetting that he is a reporter of the news, not a game show host for Fox News. Who gave this moron permission to vett the candidates, anyway? More than this, no ones likes a bully, especially when his M.O. is to sneak up on his prey. He wants to do commentary or act like a punk, let him go to CNN or MSNBC, where he has been praised on many occasions. Let’s see how his ratings do at those “news” outlets.
On another occasion, Feb 5, 2008, he even named a woman (Hammand) who wrote to his program, critical of his commentary, a viewer who had no clue that Smith would mention her name on air and take time to make fun of her as he thoroughly disgraced her email efforts -- as cowardly an episode as I have ever seen on Fox News.
Today, he referred to “Chick-Fil-A” Appreciation Day as “Intolerance Appreciation Day,” apparently ignoring the free speech issues at stake in this latest dust-up with the Left, and indicting all who took part in the demonstration. While the gay issue can be debated (unless, of course, you appear on Studio B), the First Amendment cannot. While the Queer Nation should have its place in the national narrative, destroying a business and assaulting those who disagree is an idiot's solution, one for which Smith, apparently, gives his approval. Smith is so in love with himself, that he cannot see the more important issue in this debate, for the sake of his personal and uniformed bias.
Today, I supported Chick-Fil-A and do not appreciate an ass making fun of me when he knows nothing of the overall debate nor the reasons for my descent.
