Santorum wins Alabama. Each of the the top three will split the delegates. While a win is a win, Santorum will not pick up much ground on Romney who leads Rick Santorum by a near 2 to 1 margin in the delegate count. Santorum picked up 14 delegates compared to Romney's 6.
Primary news is developing. Mississippi is too close to call (7.30 pm pt) but here is the voting percentage as they stand at present:
Mississippi was just called for Santorum. Hawaii and Samoa will be called later tonight.
Delegate count as things stand now:
Mitt with 465 delegates; Rick - 216; Newt - 124 and Ron Paul - 66.
