Some thoughts about the our nation's polling obsession.

Two comments: one, Obama's numbers are not historically low, on average. . . . . . or so it would appear.

And that is our second point. The number of polls taken in support of this man is profoundly different from past presidents and adds to the appearance that Obama is more popular than is the case.

Without doing the math, it would appear that all previous presidents have seen , on average, around 30 polls during their first two years in office.

Obama has benefited from 347 polls. ABC, NBC, CBS, US Today, the Washington Post, the WSJ, the NY Times poll, are some of the Left Wing Radicals driving such polls (and "yes," I included the Wall Street Journal). Right leaning polls seldom make the news. Only Rasmussen is gnerally accepted by the Left and the Right.

The obsession with Obama's popularity is a direct off-shoot of his radicalized politic and hostile nature. Those taking the polls are obviously concerned about Obama's popularity. That is why a poll is taken, literally, every other day. Amazing. They keep thinking Obama's numbers will improve. What they do not seem to understand is this, the vast majority of people have already made up their minds concerning his presidency.

Anyway, the Left is running scared and well they should. They have thumbed their noses at public opinion and representative government and their time has come and gone.
