Melania Trump: A retraction
— On August 20, 2016, an article was published in the Daily Mail
newspaper titled 'Racy photos, and troubling questions about his wife's
past that could derail Trump.' — The article discussed whether
allegations being made about Melania Trump could negatively affect. (In short, the article posited the rumor that Melania ran an escort service in New York City, tied to her modeling work).
Editor's notes: This is exactly why I hate the Left. Those in that camp believe the value of "plausible deniability" and the notion that "the ends justify the means to that end" (Saul Alinsky).
So, Mail On Line joined its sister agency, Daily Mail, and printed the rumors in an August 20 article and concluded with a tentative denial of those rumors. Basically, the article went like this: "We are not saying this is true, but, man oh man, there are a lot of credible people who believe it . . . . that Melania ran an elite oriented escorted service. We will let our readers decide."
This morning, we find this retraction: "In so far as MailOnline/DailyMail.com
published the same article it wholeheartedly also retracts the above and
also regrets any such misinterpretation.
