A Christian perspective of sin and the Orlando Massacre.

Editor's notes:  Sins equal to homosexuality include: pride, talking back to your parents, conceit, being untrustworthy or unloving, being undiscerning, being self-centered or braggadocios, being envious, being gossips.

When it comes to homosexuality and all of the above, Paul tells the Roman church, "and such are some (read: "all") of you. The message preached over and over again, in Romans, is the fact of our gross or comprehensive sinfulness and the unmerited grace of God. In fact, because of our inability or unwillingness to be sinless on a personal level, "grace that saves" HAS TO BE WITHOUT MERIT. Grace does not make us better than the folks we often condemn. We are still sinners and, often, just as sinful, only God does not see it that way. Our "perfection" is Christs perfection. He sees Christ. That is why "being in (gk - eis or "into") Christ" is so critically important. In Him we are CONSIDERED righteous (Rom 6:11). He is righteous. We are considered righteous. There is a big big difference.

Don't believe me? Read Romans 1:18 - 2:1 and throw in Romans 7:25.

Those in that Orlando gay club did not "get what they deserved." If they did, we all should have died on that day. Understand that I am not justifying sin. Rather, I am allowing for God in Christ to justify all sinners.
