Kim Davis is in jail, tonight, for refusing to marry same sex partners . . . . . and the White House dares to make this statement:

Sara Jerde / Talking Points Memo:
White House On Jailing Of Kentucky Clerk: ‘No Public Official’ Is Above The Law

Editor's notes:  The statement,  above,  is a little bizarre coming from the most lawless Administration of our time.  At the same time,  Ted Cruz is wrong to politicize this issue.

While I sympathize with Kim Davis and understand her faith on this point,  still,  she is in the wrong job.  Central Planning is no place to work for a person with religious convictions such matters as those facing this county clerk.   It is that simple.  The Example,  for a Christian,  is not to demand compliance with our personal views,  but to work to correct evil and misguided intentions/actions.
When Davies, a Democrat, was voted into her position,  she was not in conflict with the law on marriage.  Now,  right or wrong,  she is very much in conflict.  If she cannot change the law,  and she can't,  she has no alternative but to move on.    As County Clerk,  her job includes obeying and applying the law.  We all live in a world that is increasingly godless.  How we respond is critical,  and,  demanding that her faith be the law of the land,  on this point,  is not going to be allowed.  "Render to Caesar,  that which belongs to Caesar," is a biblical statement that should be our rule,  in this case, as Christian  (if you are a Christian).

Understand that the Court tried to work out a compromise that would allow Davis to not sign off on any marriages.  She could not agree to that compromise,  and must pay the price for that decision.  We,  as Christians,  should never allow ourselves to think that we are disadvantaged because there is a price to be paid for our faith/stance.  Personally,  I have quit more than a couple of jobs,  because of business practices I could not support  (understanding that I am no saint).
