Latest poll, small as it is, is a CNN poll showing Trump down 8 pts from 32 (!!!), Carly up 12 to within 9 points of the Pretenders, and Rubio up 8 points, as well. If not mistaken, Bush held his own, and Carson lost 2 points. Understand that polling, at this stage of the game, is about raising money, not about accurate campaign predictions. That is what "in house polling" is for . . . . . . . . . too bad Trump does not know that.
I mean, the other day, he told a reporter, "why do I need to hire a polling firm. There are polls for every day of the week." What he does not understand is this: internal polls cut through the BS for an accurate picture of where a candidate really is. Secular polls are used by the candidates to raise money. Internal polls show trend lines and real numbers. If Trump does not believe in such polling, he has no accurate idea as to where he stands and what the trends might be. His use of numbers is purely anecdotal and may have little to do with reality, six months from now.
