Well, this story just gets worse and worse for the ex-Speaker. Of course, corruption abounds in Congress on both sides of the aisle, but the Speaker made a point, back in 2007, at the time of her rise to that position, that her administration would be corruption free. She was going to "drain the swamp,' if you remember, and made comment after comment charging the GOP with back door deals, receiving pay-offs from lobbyists, and legislative corruption. Turns out, she appears to be guilty on all three counts. Here is what we know about the Visa scandal: a bill was presented in July of 2007 that would cap Visa's (among other credit card companies) ability to continually raise its fees. Pelosi tabled the bill at the same time she and her husband bought into a Visa IPO (an initial stock offering) priced at $44 per share. It is believed the millionaire couple purchased 5,000 shares, investing nearly a quarter of a million dollars in this initial purchase. Within days, the stock sold at $64 a share. We know that, at this time, Visa donated $1,000 to Pelosi's campaign and nothing to anyone else's (at the time). We know that a lobbyist for Visa, a one time adviser to Pelosi named Aquillen, also "donated" a $1,000 to her political fund. And, another $1,000 was given to the Democrat Party !! Pelosi and her husband made, at least, two additional stock purchases. CBS reports that the two spent well over a million dollars on Visa stock, the profits of which would have been somewhere between $200,000 and $400,000.
Pelosi's excuse for tabling the Visa restrictions? "I was waiting for a president who would sign the legislation."
But "Visa" is not her only lapse of "applied moral values." That bill we know as "ObamaCare?" Well, she superintended the first drafting of that bill to the exclusion of either Barack Obama
or Hapless Harry Reid, a little known historical fact. There has never been a piece of legislation the size and scope of ObamaCare, written by so few. It was her idea to cut the GOP out of any review process. It was her idea to push the bill through the House without providing for a reading and debate of the contents of the bill. How do we know this? Because, as Speaker, she controlled the entire initial legislative process. That is what a "Speaker" gets to do.

We all remember her statement, "We have to pass the bill, so that we can know what is in the bill." Turns out that this was not just a simple minded comment regarding the 2,700 page proposal. Rather, it was a Nancy Pelosi legislative strategy to get the thing passed through the House. Understand that this bill, the dream of Marxist Socialists within the Democrat Party, took a full year to pass into law, at a time when the GOP had no legislative control whatsoever. The question, "What was the hold-up?" can only be answered in light of the known bribes and congressional pay-offs and the time it took write this collective fraud into the bill, thus, insuring its passage .
Finally, there is the matter of the 2009 Stimulus. That was signed into law on February 17th. Again, the original draft of this bill was written by Nancy Pelosi and no one else. It was crammed through congress and signed into law 29 days after the Democrats took full and absolute control of Congress. It is an established fact that Democrat entities and congressional districts, received 3/4 of the bill's funding; GOP entities receiving the remainder.
Know this, all financial bills originate in the House of Representatives, by law, to the exclusion of the Senate or anything the presidency can do. All financial bills originate in the House. Pelosi was the top dog in that legislative body and ruled that body with an iron hand. What I state as "fact," that she wrote the initial bills in question, is a conclusion I draw because of her position in the House, the role the House must play in the legislative process, her heavy handed rule as Speaker and the inconceivable thought that Pelosi would not be at the center of the drafting of these bills, given that their creation, their initial drafting, was her specific charge.
In the end, with Nancy Pelosi, we have congressional and legislative corruption personified. This is not a case of borderline fraud and deceit, it is the legacy of her legislative reign as the first woman Speaker of the House of Representatives.
