In Ohio, there are two ballot measures that deserve the attention and support of conservatives, nation wide. One supports the collective bargaining reforms proposed and put into law by the Republican Governor and party legislators. The second would prohibit Ohioans from being individually mandated to buy into ObamaCare.
When asked about his feelings concerning these issues, Mitt Romney took the easy way out and said this: "Those are up to the people of Ohio. But I certainly support the efforts of the governor to reign in the scale of government. I am not terribly familiar with the two ballot initiatives. But I am certainly supportive of the Republican Party's efforts here."
In other words, Romney answered with the kind of political speak that the GOP base is sick and tired of. A couple of days ago, our response to the Romney comment was "stick a fork in Romney." After committing to a little more research on this incident, we confirm that we will not be supportive of Romney during this primary cycle.
We echo the sentiments of FreedomWorks in Ohio: "Governor Romney is clearly not a fan of limited government."
It is that simple . . . . . . . . and the choice with regard to Romney is that clear.
