Promises broken -- a review of 7 broken promises (there are hundreds, of course).

Under the heading, "Broken Promises," we have compiled this list in no particular order:

Health Care: Obama promised to keep the cost of health care under a billion dollars over the course of a ten year period of time. We now know that that this number will will closer to 3x that amount.

Health Care: Obama promised "if you want to keep your doctor, you will be able to do so under my plan, period." This is not only "not true," it was never going to be true. An impossible lie.

Transparency: "Will create a centralized Internet database of lobbying reports, ethics records, and campaign finance filings in a searchable, sortable and downloadable format." More lobbyists than ever before. No transparency in this regard whatsoever.

The Disabled: Obama promised to create a national commission charged with "examining and proposing solutions to work disincentives in the SSDI, SSI, Medicare, and Medicaid," among other things. Did not happen and he has moved on from this promise.

Immigration: His plan to to draft and pass into law a comprehensive immigration policy that, in effect, allowed for all of the existing undocumented "immigrants" to remain in this country without shutting down the border. In 2009, before the Scott Brown election, the Democrats had full control of both houses of congress. An open borders/amnesty bill for Mexican immigrants would have been something that the GOP could not have prevented.

Autism: Obama promised to mandate full coverage for victims of autism. Results? Nothing.

Senior citizen tax break: Obama promised the end of taxation for seniors who made less than $50,000 per year. After his election, this was never mentioned again.
