I have stayed away from this story, until now, for two reasons: 1) the trivial nature of the story and 2), the difficulty of wading through the lies that surround this story.
The Marxist Left will see this as a victory, when, in fact, it probably has nothing to do with Media Matters and the socialist Left (also known as Leftovers). Media Matters announced this story with glee, pretending that lost revenues for the show were part of the reason. Nonsense. Beck has more of an audience (averaging 2.2 million per show) than HLN, MSNBC and CNN put together. I personally compared his commercial breaks with those of MSNBC and CNN. They were twice as long for the Beckster. If Beck has lost commercial accounts, it is because the Left has threatened those who want to freely advertise during his hour. Strong arm tactics and union-style thuggery should be illegal and those who practice this type of thuggery should be thrown in jail, period.
My wife and I are big fans of Glenn and we are fans because of the service he provides, truly unique. I intend to continue to stay in touch with the man. There is a reason why the Left has targeted him as they have -- even more than Rush. It is because he knows their game and the names of those who play that game. He will continue with his radio show, the third most popular show in the nation (behind Rush and Hannity).
Understand this, you Leftist Misfits -- he is far from being gone.
What folks like those in Media Matters do not seem to understand is that their appeal is to the far Left. . . . . they are preaching to the choir. They have no appeal to moderates and the "Independents" community. Radicals seldom do.
