And why do we care for the opinions of military leadership when they have taken 18 years without an ultimate victory in the middle east?

Christopher Donato / ABC News: Former Defense Secretary Gen. James Mattis roasts Donald Trump: ‘I earned my spurs on the battlefield’  —  Former Defense Secretary James Mattis roasted his former boss at the Alfred E. Smith dinner in New York City on Thursday night.

Editor:  I recently watched an interview with a general in our military complaining that Trump did not give the military the opportunity to finish the job in the Middle East before he pulled the 100 or so troops out of a specific region in Syria.   What is rather humorous to me is that this soldier thinks 18 years is not enough time to "get it done."   Good grief.  Are these folks not capable ot recognizing an unwinnable war when they see one?
