Update: Superbowl 50: I want Peyton to win, but I can't see how that happens. Done posting. Have a good Funday.

Denver 24 - Carolina 10

I had decided that defenses do not win championships without an above average offense.  Two years ago,  Seattle's defense  beat the pants off the best offense in the league,  Denver,  but Seattle's  offense was very good if not excellent, as well, proving my point.

But yesterday,  Superbowl Sunday,  Denver's offense played like the #19 offense that it was   . . . .   but destroyed the best all-around team we have seen this year.  It was all about the Denver defense,  a performance that rivals the 1985 Bears.

Von Miller (Denver defense) was the MVP of the game, as he should have been,  but Andrea Ware had more tackles and 3.5 sacks  . . . .   an MVP performance in its own right.

Cam's biggest problem is in his head   . . . . .    he gets discouraged,  not frustrated, but discouraged.  What is most important, here,  is the fact that Cam sets the tone for team's offensive play.  Luke Kuechly,  middle linebacker for Carolina,  is the "quarterback" for the defense, He was drafted ninth over all,  by the Panthers,  in 2012, a year after Cam's draft.   As it turns out,  the Panther's defense played great while the offense did not come close to getting things done.

Anyway,  it was a great game for those of us who wanted Peyton to share in a victory, but,  believing there was no path to victory against the Panthers.
