Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
Best line of the evening came from the Sanders camp, complaining about the Saturday night selection for the Democrat debate: "Was Xmas eve already taken?" ( no article),
As compared to the GOP debate, filled with fear, hyped up threats, chest pounding and vague and unsubstantial pledges to 'restore America's greatness'... the Democratic debate was like hearing adults speak instead of children, intelligence vs bluster. I think America saw that. A wide ranging discussion. Yes, Hillary looked very presidential.
Adult America was watching NFL football or partying. Like Sanders said about the DNC having a Saturday night debate: "Why. Was Xmas eve already taken."
Yes, I believe you are correct. But, still, it is not how things compare to 2008 numbers, but how the Democrat debates compare to the GOP debates. And please tell me that Saturday night (aka party night)during a major NFL football game is not the best night for a debate . . . . and it gets worse. Guess when the next debate is ? I believe the same day the NFL has two post season games scheduled . . . on a Suday afternoon.

DeleteFYI ... the Dem debate was higher rated and attracted more viewers than ALL Obama vs Hillary debates in '12.
