Do you know why conservatives have no equivalent to Letterman, Colbert, Stewart? Because they aren't smart enough and seldom do they have facts on their side. Letterman was a rare, humble and talented guy who was univerally loved and on the right side of history. Those like Smithson, on the wrong side of history, disdain those like Letterman, who put people like Bill O'Reilly in their place and gracefully tell the world what they think in a funny, sincere, and matter of fact way. Letterman's contributions were huge. Smithson's ... notsomuch.
