“I’m not going to spend the next two years on defense; I’m going to play offense."
Apparently the man does not see a "veto" as a defensive action, but that is what he has threatened to do . . . veto "hostile legislation" if and when it comes to his desk. More than this, he thinks "taking the offensive" is equal to acting outside the law and in rank disregard for the traditions and Constitutional definitions of his office.
He does not understand that he has been neutered as "president." Surprisingly, this happened to the man back in 2010. Since then, he has done nothing of long lasting consequence except to violate the law.
Look at his immigration policy. His decision could bring in 5 million illegal immigrants into this country, of them suddenly in competition with the legal immigrants already here. In the mean time, his policy will cost the U.S. billions of dollars over and above what estimated value these folks are to this economy.
His war against coal, will cost the middle class hundreds of millions of dollars in the next two years, proving, of course, that he no cares for the working poor than Hitler did for Jesse Owens and working poor within his own country.
His decision to completely disregard the past election(s) is an insult to the American people. The Democrat Party needs to pay even more of a price for its support of this moron in our White House.
He has no leverage, except that which comes from the abuse of power he initiated back in 2009. He is irrelevant by all definitions, unless, of course, you think Jesse James and other world class crooks, have relevancy because of the sheer evil they represented.
Don't you get tired of the hate? Is that all you have?
ReplyDeleteFast recovering economy, upward approval ratings, another terrorist plot foiled and all you can do is cling to the hate. Must be a miserable existence.
I do tire of hate, but, here you are, writing again, on a blog that features a forgiving and patient editor (that would be me).
DeleteSlowest recovery in history translates to "fast economy." Strange. Landslide midterm elections, lowest annual average approval rating for any president in modern times, and a military approval rating of 15% translates into "upward approval ratings." More than strange. 400 dead or wounded Americans in the homeland on Obama's watch; giving Iraq back to the enemy after winning that war; an embarrassment in Afghanistan; and the French in open critic of Obama, all translates into "terrorist plot foiled" as if we are winning. Strange bordering on deranged.
