POWER PLAYERS -- "Obama taps [Brian Deese] to replace Podesta," by AP's Jim Kuhnhenn: "The choice signals a generational change at the White House and a shift from a well-known Washington operative to a trusted insider.... Deese, 36, [now deputy OMB director, will] assume his new role when Podesta departs as expected in mid-February. ... [H]is emphasis [will] be carrying out Obama's energy policy and climate change initiatives." http://yhoo.it/1L2siS2
Editor's notes: Don't you love the Utopians over at "Yahoo?" They, along with all other major social media providers, are "in it" for the cause of social revolution. They don't give a crap about tradition and the historicity associated with established perspectives. Instead, these young guns, want to create their own perspective, their own traditions, and in so doing, they are willing to trash everything that stands in the way.
At any rate, the comment above, out of Yahoo News, would have you believe there is a shift of influence within Obama's Administration that is meaningful to the immediate future . . . . a shift from Washington operative to trusted insider. Yahoo ignores the fact that Deese has been with Obama for years and was central in the crafting of the illegal "saving" of GM and Chrysler back in 2008, an effort that failed, by the way, using Administration standards for making that statement (see "after notes" below). In fact, Yahoo ignores the reality that Jarrett, Gibbs, Van Jones, Peiffer and dozens of others, within the Obama Cartel, were anti-colonialists, all, and "trusted insiders" for that reason. There is NO shift in the advisery pool, unless one wants to argue that Obama is moving away from folks who know what they are talking about to those who share the same dreams of the Obama and can form the words, "Yes, sir."
Deese left his insider position of influence with Obama for a position with the Office of Management and Budget, and has been there for years . . . making him a Washington operative, regardless of Yahoo's opinion. While an established "operative," he is, also, an academic new ager, complete with all the dreams and fantasies of the Utopian Class, barely 30 years old when first employed by Der Slickster back in 2008.
What is important to me, is the implication that Obama has turned a corner, is now energized - after six years of failed "leadership" - and ready for the last two years. The new-agers of this world are ready to restructure this country as they see fit. They have no perspective to draw from, only the fantasies of those who have been their teachers at places like Harvard and Yale and Columbia. They are "existentialists" to the core, and bow to no authority that does not originate from their own sense of worth and understanding. In other words, they (like Obama) are kids who have no perspective, playing with the concept of an Utopian World, with America, their America, as the lead dog into a brave new world. It is truly, the blind leading the blind.
What is ignored by the yahoos at Yahoo, is the fact that Obama is a lame duck of a president, and has been since July of 2010, the last time he signed a major piece of legislation (Dodd/Frank). He has gone from owning Washington with super majorities in both Houses of Congress and a 67% approval rating, to facing a Congress with its fewest number of Democrat members since 1920 and the lowest annualized Gallup approval rating (under 40% for the year 2014) for any modern day president.
The Obama influence has not only destroyed the Democrat Party in Washington, his negative influence has impacted the Dems, nation wide, where 31 of the nation's governors are Republicans and 67 of the 100 state houses of governance in the hands of the GOP, as well.
At any rate, nothing is going on in Obama's world that does not ignore the fact that he and is ideas are, now, officially irrelevant. What will not get much press, is the fact that fewer people watched his 2015 State of the Union speech, than at anytime since he took office. In 2009, he was speaking to around 50 million people. This week, he was watched by 31 million. That fact, alone, tells you all you need to know about what America thinks of this clown.
If Obama is so irrelevant, why all the attention he is getting, including your rant, above? Wake up to the fact that he is perhpas more relevant that ever before, and, because of the nature of his changes, more relevant than FDR or Woodrow Wilson, combined.
ReplyDeleteWilson and FDR worked within the system for the most part. While FDR signed more than 3,400 Executive Orders, a record number far exceeding any other president, still, this was done with the consent of Congress. In the end, however, Wilson (before 1920) and FDR's Administration after 1945, were rebuffed by the American people. The 1920 elections, following Wilson, gave the GOP its largest margin of victory (61% to 39%) in American politics, and Congress limited the presidency to two terms, following FDR's four term extravaganza.
ReplyDeleteAs to the nature of changes being made by Obama, they are all transitory or temporary "solutions," as is the case with anything (regulations and/or executive actions) that is not of a legislative order or law. If his Utopian changes remain, they will survive only because the GOP is in agreement, in which case, his changes will become approved changes by all of congressional leadership. The fact that Obama circumvented congress, makes him no more relevant than any dictator outside our boundaries. And that is what I mean by "irrelevant." Hitler, Salin, Mao, Castro, Chavez and Ill in N Korea, are not relevant historical figures, in my opinion. Rather, they are and were criminal elements in their given societies, imposing their will on and against the people over whom they had power. . . . ditto Obama. Understand that Obama is not a mass murderer, as were the others, but his disregard for public opinion is the same. He is no more relevant to me, than the man who breaks into my home and steals my possessions . . . . . . . . period.
