Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.

ReplyDelete"Jesus" is not a word to be used lightly. Your entire comment is rejected because of your ignorance as to the use of that name.
ReplyDeleteThe irony here is that Smithson worships Jesus, a rebelious socialist hippy Jew and community organizer.
DeleteSon of Man/Son of God. I worship the Jew from Bethlehem because of the "son of God" thingy . . . . not all that other stuff. And, no, he was not a community organizer. Where is the world did you come up with that nonsense?
DeleteSon of god thingy, where in the world did you come up with that nonsense? Sheep follow each other as does mankind.

Go buy yourself a Bible with an index or concordance of some sort and look up the terms "Son of Man" and "Son of God" Don't care to do that? Fine. Then do yourself a favor and stop making yourself look like an ignorant no-nothing when debating about the Christ of God. Obviously you flunk out of Catholic orthodoxy before you ever opened a book. Which means, of course, that your departure from the Faith was for personal reasons and not because of anything intellectual. I don't argue "bias," when talking about my Faith. I only debate biblical teaching, In other words, I do not care what you think about the Christ. You cannot make a claim for speaking with authority, on the matter, and you certainly will never be an authority in my life.
DeleteSome prefer to find their own way, and not be common followers. It is a a common human need, to be a part of something great, a community. What I've found is that the greatest learning and growth can best be accomplished alone and with an individuality of thought. Better to live a meaningful life that is less ordinary.
