The darling pollster from the Left, Nate Silver, just "gave" the Senate to the GOP.

The FiveThirtyEight Senate model is bad news for the Democrats.  It sees a 64% chance that the GOP will win back the Senate.  The post election headline might read:  Senate flips to the GOP;  Harry Reid's tyrannical reign is over;  finally,  Congress will get things down.

Update:  The WaPost gives the Senate take-over by the GOP an 80% chance.  Obama's approval rating,  taken by Gallup after his tan-suited presser,  came in at 39% and George Washington University has the wrong way/right way measurement coming in at a 70% for the "wrong way."  All of these numbers spell an unprecedented disaster for the coming mid-term - compared to what happened in 2010  !!!!  No one here is cheering,  but none of this bods well for Marxist Progressive movement.  And,   if these numbers,  these particular numbers,  cannot be reversed before November of 2016,  all of the current Marxist scheming and lying,  will be taken down.

Some Democrat pundits see a 52 or 53 member majority.

What does this mean?

Well,  for one thing,  Congress could censor or impeach Obama if he continues to act on his own and without regard for Constitutional law and process.

Secondly,  several of the many investigations will be put back on track,  just in time for the 2016 elections.

Third,  the Senate could approve the 257 bills sent from the House and on hold,  by Harry Reid,  putting pressure on Obama to come down from his ivory tower and begin to learn how compromise with congress really works.  All presidents understand the process - except Obama.  Time form him to learn the lesson,  as well.

Fourth,  it means the days of stacking the courts with far Left judicial activists, would be over.  Most importantly,  it means the Supreme Court will remain in balance with a 4 - 4 split plus the [Justice] Kennedy vote,  sometimes benefiting the Left and then, on other occasions,  benefiting the Right.

Fifth,  it could mean the beginning of a re-write of ObamaCare and the end of Obama's legislative nonsense with respect to that reform law.

If, if, if,  the GOP can win the Senate and get things done,  it's ability to win the 2016 presidential election are improved by two-fold.  Understand that whatever Congress accomplishes should it "go GOP,"   will be judged by the American people and in their pocket book.  If the GOP wins,  and,  things turn around in the coming two years,  there is little doubt that Conservatives will be given ample credit for the turn-around.

The stacks could not be bigger,  and the opportunity to take back this country more profound,  than this time,  and,  this election.

  1. Great, so America can be ruled by the great minds from those highly educated states like KY, MS, WV, AL, SC, TN, AR, and LA - 9 of the bottom 11 in % of high school grads - our conservative America. Great to be ruled by the leaders of the dumbest and most ignorant states. Don't care, won't affect me. It'll just keep hurting those that are hurting the most.

    1. Two thoughts: first, it is the great minds from Harvard who gave us the current no-jobs recovery, a failed Iraq, a failed Afghanistan, a president who does not read or listen to his national security advisers, a failed Detroit, ObamaCare - the written law, 4 budgets that received a total of 2 votes in congress versus 1026 "no" votes in Senate and House votes (how dumb is this??!!!), shovel ready jobs, and the likes of Maxine Waters, Joe Biden, Wasserman-shultz.

Secondly: you laughed and laughed at this blog for its failed use of several polling sources, insisting that Nate Silver was king. Now that I am giving Silver more credit, you suddenly can't deal with his conclusions. Just remember this, Slick - he who laughs last, laughs loudest.

    2. Why do you say Nate Silver is "from the left"? Probably because he is correct most of the time.

We'll see what he says a month from now. Remember what happened to Cantor. No one saw that coming.

    3. Well, because guys like you love the man, or used to and, two, he sure as hell is no conservative. Also, his polling is used by the Leftist Giant, the NY Times and the WaPost.

  2. Winds of change blow quickly in politics... the generic congressional polls have consistently been edging Dem.

Remember the religious conservative darling of the GOP, future presidential hopeful was elected ss the Gov. of Virginia? The moral "pro life" guy who pushed a mandatory ultrasound bill for women seeking an abortion? So much for the moral religious conservatives... convicted today on 11 counts of corruption. Your future GOP president is a criminal.

Regressive Republicans have no problem intruding on the most personal and most intimate decisions any of us makes while at the same time, railing against government intrusions on big business. Republicans in Maryland and Washington State are seeking to overturn legislative approval of same-sex marriage there.
Republicans have introduced over four hundred bills in state legislatures aimed at limiting women's reproductive rights – banning abortions, requiring women seeking abortions to have invasive ultra-sound tests beforehand, and limiting the use of contraceptives.

And look who the real criminals are.

  3. Bob McDonald... Christian family values. 'Studied' at Pat Robertson's College, writing a thesis condemning homosexuals, cohabitators, and fornicators.. One of the most zealous Christian politicians, McDonald crusaded on shapin the state on the model of his moral Christian family. Romney came close to choosing him as a running mate. In the end... to try to escape prosecution for a dozen felonies, in his trial he tried to blame his wife, called her mentally ill. There is your Christian family values on display. Convicted felons facing up to 30 yrs.
