<<<<     Yazidi faithful returning to safe haven from the mountains in North Iraq.  First reports had 40,000 trapped.  Now,  it appears there were 60,000 to 70,000 trapped in the mountains;  some 30,000 are still in hiding,  hoping for an escort out of the grips of the Jihadist ISIS terror group.

From Sky News because the American press is giving this as little a foot print as possible:

The UN says up to 35,000 refugees have escaped Iraq’s Mount Sinjar and are “exhausted” and “dehydrated”.
The refugees, mostly from the minority Yazidi sect, managed to reach northern Iraq’s Kurdistan region through Syria over the past three days.

“The new arrivals are exhausted, dehydrated and many have suffered sun or heat stroke, with the daily temperatures reaching 40C to 45C,” said UNHCR spokesman Adrian Edwards.

He said an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 people are still trapped on the mountain without food or water.

UN minority rights expert Rita Izsak warned they face “a mass atrocity and potential genocide within days or hours”.

  1. Bush policy created ISIS.

    How?

The United States invaded Iraq, killed an ungodly amount of people who had friends and family who loved them, unleashed a wave of terrorism across the Middle East. Watching one's mother die in a US airstrike does not nurture moderation. The US installed and armed a sectarian Shiite leader in Iraq, Nouri al-Maliki, who proceeded to kill, torture, and generally alienate the Sunni population of Iraq.

By arming Iraq's military, the United States also effectively armed ISIS, which captured much of Iraq's high-powered weaponry when it swept through the north of the country. The US also facilitated the shipment of weapons to rebel groups fighting in Syria, with some of those weapons no doubt finding their way into the hands of the terrorists. Add all that up and you have, as with the Taliban and al-Qaeda before, another instance of the United States arming a future foe and then creating the conditions necessary for them to thrive.

That's the way it is. Thanks GW Bush.

    1. Absolutely ridiculous. The weaponry ISIS first acquired came from weapon cashe's brought into Libya at the time of the Benghazi murders and cover-up, and, sent to Syria. There are a number of docs establishing this fact. Obama left American weapons behind when he cut and ran from that country, not George Bush and claimed credit for ending that war and leaving behind, a strong and stable Iraq. Those are his words and actions, which means, your rendition is pure, chunky-style, BS .Thank gawd Obama kept on talking, after becoming "president." Because of him, you really have nothing to say but nonsense. LOL. . . .
