Zogby survey's GOP hopefuls. Palin is near the top of their list: Polls show her to be the most significant political activist on the Right and [still] one of the most popular forces within the GOP.

<<<<   If heaven looks like her,  to hell with the alternative.

Editor's notes:  The one name on the polling list referenced below,  that stands out in the thinking of this editor,  is Sarah Palin's.  If you frequent this blog,  you know of my enthusiastic support for this woman.  While I will not review the reasoning for my enthusiasm (it has nothing to do with the fact that she comes in a close second to my wife in terms of beauty and brains, btw),  I do want to make a couple of points that will be missed by most others in the blogosphere.

First,  she is not a candidate for president,  if we accept her personal statement on this issue.  Indeed,  she would accept a draft to run,  but she is content with where she is within the GOP as a "king maker" and the most significant conservative/activist icon in the nation.

Again,  she is not a candidate and, yet,  she garnered a 5th place out of 21 GOP mentionables.  In fact,  if you read the article at Newsmax and consider her statistical place in that poll,  you will realize that she is the only activist on the list and has,  in fact,  added her rich support to others in this survey,  to include the likes of Paul, Cruz, Rubio, Santorium,  Rick Perry and others.  She helped them advance their popularity within the GOP,  and continues to work 24/7 for a resurrection of a Grand Old Party that is reflective of true conservative values.  She is a saint and if heaven looks like her,  to hell with the alternative !!

That the poll finds her to be the most polarizing of the lot,  is no surprise.  Rather,  it is indicative of her disfavor within the ranks of our nationalized and socialist media, print and broadcast.  Understand that this same "media" took Palin to the mat,  years ago,  in an effort to destroy her value as a winning conservative influence in this country.  Obviously, they failed in their ultimate goal.  Truth be told,  if this poll had categorized the teaparty folks represented in the survey and the related "patriot nation,"  Palin would have been the front runner by a considerable margin.

While all the talk in review of this survey will be about the so-called winners,  in the end,  the most significant person standing in the shadows,  with the financial ability and political savy to change party politics,  remains Sarah Palin.  Her unpopularity as a candidate is only a function of a perverse  media.  They have been successful in that regard.  But put Palin in the race,  for real,  give her a platform and debate her openingly and in the public square,  and (I believe) you would have a winner.

If there is anyone within the GOP that reminds me of Harry Trumen,  it is this woman and for many of the same reasons   . . . . . . .  and Truman wound up being a winner!!
