The NRA speaks out concerning its meeting with Joe Biden. Turns out the Administration is thinking about punishing gun owners more than it is thinking about serious solutions and meaningful reforms.

Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association of America is made up of over 4 million moms and dads, daughters and sons, who are involved in the national conversation about how to prevent a tragedy like Newtown from ever happening again.  We attended today's White House meeting to discuss how to keep our children safe and were prepared to have a meaningful conversation about school safety, mental health issues, the marketing of violence to our kids and the collapse of federal prosecutions of violent criminals.

We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment.  While claiming that no policy proposals would be “prejudged,” this Task Force spent most of its time on proposed restrictions on lawful firearms owners - honest, taxpaying, hardworking Americans.  It is unfortunate that this Administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation's most pressing problems.  We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be blamed for the acts of criminals and madmen.  Instead, we will now take our commitment and meaningful contributions to members of congress of both parties who are interested in having an honest conversation about what works - and what does not.

  1. Drudge Report posted a giant picture of Hitler over a headline speculating that the White House will proceed with executive orders to limit access to firearms. Misinformed idiots.

The Weimar Republic, the German government that immediately preceded Hitler’s, actually had tougher gun laws than the Nazis. The 1938 law signed by Hitler completely deregulated the acquisition and transfer of rifles and shotguns, as well as ammunition. More categories of people, including Nazi party members, were exempted from gun ownership regulations altogether, while the legal age of purchase was lowered from 20 to 18, and permit lengths were extended from one year to three years.

  2. News flash, moron. The Jews had no guns with which to resist. That is the end story. Those who were targeted as "enemies of the state," were disarmed. But go ahead and defend Hitler, if you want. I expect this kind of crap from a woman who supports Al-Jazeera Gore.

You tell me why the conservative population should surrender its guns or accept talk that describes them as unpatriotic or racist when those in your party want to give Obama more than two terms, allow him to serve as a dictator, and hold the power of the purse. Go to hell.

  3. Yea, the Jews would do really well with their guns against the Nazi tanks, just as you would against the US military. Your life is based on fear. Pathetic. You deserve it.
