CDS is a disease affecting Liberal pundits. Otherwise an intelligent lot, they suffer from Commonsense Deficit Syndrome. Here are a couple of examples.

Point of post:  when a liberal thinks borrowing 10 bucks from his uncle (we will all him 'Uncle Sam') will go "a long way"  to paying off a 10,000 dollar debt,  well,  he is suffering from CDS

A story carried by a local  television station that goes beyond silly:

Boca Ciega, Florida -- A chemistry project caused a big problem at Pinellas' Seminole High School Tuesday morning.   The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says students were given an assignment to bring in a substance from the Periodic Table of Elements.
One student brought in mercury -- contained within a thermometer -- and the school went into lockdown.  Deputies say the thermometer was discovered as the substances were checked before going through the school.
No one was put in harm's way, but a hazmat crew was there as a precaution.

Editor's notes:  one of my continuing themes here,  on the Review,  is the epidemic of mental illness suffered by those those who become "libs."   The disease manifests itself in a gross display of commonsense deficit syndrome (CDS).  In the story,  above,  we have a perfect example.  It was found out that a student brought mercury onto the school's campus.  It was in a freaking thermometer.   The school's Administration apparently went into a panic;  they shut down the entire school and ordered in a very expensive hazmat team  (probably costing the school $3,000 at the least).  Did I say the mercury was in a "freaking thermometer?"  And the reporter has to tell us,  that, " Thank gawd,  no one was harmed !!!"  Morons all.

On the surface,  this demonstrates my point concerning CDS.   But beyond the obvious,  what about all those twisty light bulbs that have been installed in the school?  No doubt there are many.  Each and every one has a mercury component.

Just to be safe,  should the school invest in a permanent hazmat presence?  I mean,  we need to think of the children,  no??

Quickly,  before closing out this post,  Obama's "taxing the rich" is another example  of CDS.  He thinks collecting enough money from the rich to pay for 25 days of interest on our nation debt,  will rid this nation of its 16 trillion deficit.  My opening example says it all.

Never forget,  when dumb takes over,  that nation is doomed.

  1. Genius, proper word usage would be: affecting (not effecting).

  2. Indeed, a misspelling. Policy and things effect policy and things. Policy and things affect people [only]. "Transform" or "alter" are great synonyms demanding the use of "affect."
