News Alert: The AP is [just] reporting that Obama's acceptance speech will be moved out of the Bank of America Stadium. They couldn't fill the stadium and are using "the weather" as an excuse. One would think that 74,000 wet patrons would be more important than 20,000 dry supporters. (updated).

Charlotte's weatherman says,  "Chances of rain are minimal."  Wouldn't it be funny if the sun broke out Thursday afternoon or the skies cleared ?

Understand this,  Obama used to fill arenas and stadium venues.  Those days are gone.  I reported on this yesterday, making note of the fact that on May 5,  Obama officially initiated his campaign,  holding a convention style meeting at the University of Ohio arena.  It holds 20,000 but only 11,000 showed up for the event.

This decision is a financial disaster for the City of Charlotte.  You will hear more about this in the coming days.  Understand that Obama won this state in 2008 by just 14,000 votes.  This remarkable change of plans may have cost him the election in this state.
