First time claims rose - again - to a 4 week average of 1.47 million (361,000 this past week, alone).

In the week ending July 21,  the adjusted claims number was 357,000

In the week ending July 28 the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 365,000,

The week ending August 4 gives us an initial report of 361.000 but this number will be adjusted upwards by this time next week.

More importantly,  the 4 week running average rose to 368,000.  Understand that 368,000 x 4 equals 1.47 million folks,  in a single month,  being laid off or fired.  I hasten to add that most of these folks found new work,  were rehired,  or, sadly,  left the workforce altogether.

The fact remains,  however, that the Obama "policies" for recovery are non-existent.  After nearly four years,  sensible American's will send this know-nothing collectivist on his way home,  whereever  that might be.

One thing for certain,  if this country survives Obama's time in office,  it might be a century or more before a "community organizer" and know-nothing is elected to the presidency.
