In an absolutely shameless display of demagoguery, Obama is running [for the second time around] a one minute, 30 second production piece made nearly a year ago, in a desperate effort to validate his existence as a man and rogue president. I give him credit for nothing because of his motivation for the killing ---- pure D politics.
If you bother to watch this piece of political trash, try to remember that Bill Clinton, bragging about Obama's courage in making the decision to approve the killing. had three opportunities to kill bin Laden before the Twin Towers, and found an excuse for ignoring each opportunity. We are driven to the question: "How would Bill Clinton know anything about political courage?"
You might remember that it was Bill's little "yes woman," Jamie Gorelick, who isolated each federal intelligence gathering agency from the other, during his presidency, preventing each from sharing vital information that could have prevented 9/11. So egregious an act of ignorance was the Gorelick/Clinton decision, that the walls between agencies were taken down after the attacks on 9/11.
Add to your newly found remembrance, the fact that Osama bin Laden was completely marginalized as a leader of world wide terror, his plans and dreams of a second 9/11 not withstanding. Understand that he did not orchestrate another major terrorist attack after 9/11, choosing, rather, to scurry about, like a common household roach, protecting his own life, afraid to die for the "cause" he claimed to be from allah. If his death justifies the lose of 1,700 lives in Afghanistan, well, there is something grossly wrong with that assessment, something that goes far beyond informed military leadership.
And, finally, we must never forget, that Obama, in his childish haste to take credit for the killing, ran to the closest mic and gave the terrorist world, the name of the Special Ops unit that killed the iconic Osama bin Laden. Three months later, 20 members from Navy Seal Team 6 were among the 38 killed when troop transfer helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. The terrorist world claim "revenge" for Osama and the American media went into hiding. Barack Hussein is deserving of nothing short of impeachment and a military trial, for this circumstance. If he had kept his socialist mouth shut, "revenge" would have been off the table.
Obama risked is presidency by making a gutsy call and YOU can't stand it, you're not man enough or patriotic enough to give him credit.
ReplyDeleteLet's remember the guy on whose watch 9/11 happened, and the fact that Bush let bin Laden escape when cornered.
Bush was warned 40 times in the summer of '01. What did he do? Went on vacation ... for a month.
June 28 - Clarke wrote Rice that the pattern of al Qaeda activity indicating attack planning over the past six weeks "had reached a crescendo." "A series of new reports continue to convince me and analysts at State, CIA, DIA [Defense Intelligence Agency], and NSA that a major terrorist attack or series of attacks is likely..."
July 5 - CIA briefed Attorney General Ashcroft on the al Qaeda threat, warning that a significant terrorist attack was imminent. Ashcroft was told that preparations for multiple attacks were in late stages or already complete and that little additional warning could be expected.
July 23, the lead item for Counterterrorism Security Group discussion was the al Qaeda threat, and it included mention of suspected terrorist travel to the United States. Tenet told Bush that "the system was blinking red." By late July, Tenet said, it could not "get any worse."
The PDB Bush received a month before 9/11 was entitled "bin Laden determined to strike in US" mentioned specifically:
"a Bin Laden cell in New York was recruiting Muslim-American youth for attacks"
"Bin Laden wanted to hijack a U.S. aircraft"
"patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York."
"Bin Laden implied in U.S. television interviews in 1997 and 1998 that his followers would follow the example of World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef"
After receiving this warning ...Bush went on vacation for a month. What was on his agenda during this time? Stem cells.
The great protector ... failed us on 9/11, failed to catch bin Laden when he was cornered at Tora Bora. Incompetent.
You are an absolute moron. All of this proves only that Bush was made aware of an al Qaeda threat of catastrophic proportions.
ReplyDeleteThis Post article had this:
"THE INTELLIGENCE INCLUDED REPORTS OF A HOSTAGE PLOT AGAINST AMERICANS. IT NOTED THAT OPERATIVES MIGHT CHOOSE TO HIJACK AN AIRCRAFT OR STORM A U.S. EMBASSY. WITHOUT KNOWING WHEN, WHERE OR HOW THE TERRORISTS WOULD STRIKE, THE CIA "CONSISTENTLY DESCRIBED THE UPCOMING ATTACKS AS OCCURRING ON A CATASTROPHIC LEVEL, INDICATING THAT THEY WOULD CAUSE THE WORLD TO BE IN TURMOIL," ACCORDING TO ONE OF TWO STAFF REPORTS RELEASED BY THE PANEL YESTERDAY."
Understand that you are blaming a man, George Bush, who had just been sworn into office and had not had time to even appoint all of his cabinet. Are you saying that Bush did nothing? Are you saying that the several intelligence agencies were not working over-time trying to figure out what was coming down the line? Are you saying that an attack, wholly planned during the Clinton years (I am not blaming Clinton here), is somehow "Bush's fault?" Are you telling my readership that the walls of separation installed by Gorelick during Clinton played no significant role in the coordination of information received?
In the above, the self-serving jerk, Clark, names the State Department, the CIA, DIA and Nasa as having information concerning increased terrorist attacks, but, nowhere in your copied information, do you bother to quote the part that says, "None of these agencies where allowed to share and coordinate the information they had." And there-in was the biggest problem of all. Bush is the man who changed that asinine Clinton ruling.
Bill Clinton had 8 freaking years and an unsuccessful attack on the trade center, to get something done in a preventative way. Maybe you were too young to know, or still living in your tee-pee somewhere, but I remember all of Clinton's presidency. Except for the trade center attack, there was virtually no media attention given to terrorism. There is no reason to believe that Clinton made the war on terror anything close to the "highest of priorities."
Bush IGNORED the al Qaeda threat and the Clinton era intelligence that was presented to him. This is confirmed by Clarke and others.
ReplyDeleteIn May of 2001 President Bush introduced a new Terrorism Task Force to be headed by Vice President Dick Cheney. On September 10th (one day before the World Trade Center fell) it was reported that Cheney was “finally beginning to hire staff” for that task force.
The day after Bush received the al Qaeda briefing he spoke with reporters while playing golf near his ranch. According to the Washington Post::
“Bush seemed carefree as he spoke about the books he was reading, the work he was doing on his nearby ranch, his love of hot-weather jogging, his golf game and his 55th birthday...
Bush spent most of August 2001 on his ranch here. His staff said at the time that by far the biggest issue on his agenda was his decision on federal funding of stem cell research, followed by education, immigration and the Social Security ‘lockbox’."
Many people will always wonder why "stopping terrorism" didn’t top that list.
Bush failed America. It happened on his watch. Be honest with yourself Smithson. What would you be saying if Obama was on vacation for a month after receiving warnings... and then 9/11 happened?
When Bush took office just weeks before the plans for 9/11 were finalized -- "WEEKS" I say, moron. Weeks. When Bush took office he immediately began replacing the Clinton people, as all incumbents do. Guess which department he left in tact, including the department head? Have any idea, Slick ?
ReplyDeleteIt was George Tenet and all of the Clinton CIA. Why do you suppose he did that? Why did he leave the previous Administration's CIA in tact? Because he believed the briefings he had received from Bill Clinton and George Tenet (CIA director). What better idea than to leave the organization that deals with foreign threats and has been translating al Qaeda communications for years, in place?
The Terrorism Task Force? You are really a stupid fellow, you know. But, I will try to make this simple. The first decision one makes, in this regard, is the decision to install a Terrorism Task Force. Then, Cheney [as it turns out] had to figure out who would be on that unit and get top security clearance for each member. The congress had to be advised (something your president never does] and appropriate funding. After the funds were allocated, the GSA had to find a freaking building and furniture. It had to install phones and equipment after it purchased those items. Someone had to buy a few Task Force cars. Insurance had to be written. A operations model had to be created and approved -- all of this in the 16 weeks between May and the 9/11 disaster. 16 weeks, moron.
And why did Bush have to do all this? Because Clinton was too busy dropping drawer and didn’t have the time to create this task force, himself.
BTW, How long has it taken your do-gooder hero to shut down GITMO? Did you know that Barry Obama took down the CIA's interrogation units and has not put anything it their place in four years. He was going to institute several HIG units or "High value Interrogation Groups" immediately. The FBI was going to be put in charge of future interrogations to the exclusion of the CIA. Guess what. That never happened. the HIG wound up being nothing but more Obama blather.
Bush took 16 weeks to get things going. And Obama? He has had 4 stinking years to fail at creating the HIG units; to fail at closing GITMO and most importantly, to create a missile defense system. Bush began this effort and Obama decided it was a good idea to abandon the project. So, here we sit, four years later, with no defenses against an in-bound missile attack -- all because of your know-it-all president, B Hussein Obama.
What would you be saying if Obama's call to get bin Ladewn failed?
ReplyDeleteYOU CAN NEVER BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF ON THIS POINT - because you are a fucking coward.
