Louisiana Primary: Santorum wins but still loses.

After 31 state and regional primary elections,  Romney has won 20 states and Santorum, 11.  After dividing up the delegate prize in Louisiana, Santorum walked away with 10 and Romney, 5.  It is the delegate vote that counts,  as most of you know.  To date,  Romney now has 568 to Santorums total of 273.

Tuesday week,  April 3,  Maryland, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia will be decided.  Romney is expected to win in each of the three contests.

Why Rick Santorum is not our best choice
Santorum has proven himself to be a buffoon when it comes to campaign strategies, in addition to his political inconsistencies.  I am no Romney fan,  but Romney is not the dirty rotten liberal that Santorum paints him to be.  In fact,  Santorum’s statement,  last week,  to the effect that Obama was a better choice than Romney, was sheer idiocy.  Of course,  Rick tried to make out as if  "we" were the nutty ones to believe that he thought Obama was the better choice, but that was in spite of the fact that he was the one who made the stinking statement.

Understand that Santorum served two terms as a Representative and two terms as a Senator.  When house cleaning day came,  in November of 2006 (the first salvo in the conservative rebellion),   he was voted out by 19 points, ending his 16 year Establishment career.

I think that we have lost track of the fact that the conservative base deserted Santorum in 2006
and that is why he lost his cushy job.

And why the desertion?  His track record did him in, of course.  During his 16 years and an insider,  he had voted to increase the national debt on five separate occasions.  He helped to fund Planned Parenthood with its 300,000 abortions per year.  He [still] believes in the budget busting “earmark” practice,  and helped to double the size of the Department of Education.   Santorum,  a small government,  fiscally conservative, stand alone reformer?  I don’t think so. . . . . . and, again, he was booted out of office more because of a conservative abandonment than any other single factor.

Mitt?  Well,  my “fab three” include Palin, Ryan and Rubio.  But here is something that I can’t get past, as regards Mitt’s time served as Governor of Massachusetts,  he issued 800 vetoes as Governor !!! That’s got to be a record of some sort  And you know those vetoes  were Romney decisions against a very liberal state legislature.  In consistent?  Aren’t we all.  But to argue that he did not serve the state as a [moderate] conservative is just plain silly.

Contrast Mitt with the One Worlder,  borderless and lawless Rogue President we now have,  and Romney looks like a radical,  rightwing nutcase.

I suggest that we stop with all this nonsense about Romney being a worthless lib and try to stay on message.

Someone tell Santorum to forget about what JFK said back in 1960, or about the contraception “issue,”  or about freeing this nation of the curse of porn (a righteous cause,  btw).  If this election is not about Obama and his sheer idiocy,  we will fail in November.

If we keep the debate centered around O – bama (“O” for zero),  we win big.  Someone send the memo to Ricky,  our sunbathing Mr. Conservative.

Thanks
