This poll comes from the Public Policy Poll (yes, "PPP") and is the handiwork of the Washington Post. The dark blue bars are the latest. As you can see, this PP poll has Newt well ahead of Mitt Romney and a few points up on a declining Herman Cain. Understand that only Cain has scored higher on this poll, but his time has come and gone, it seems.
As well as Newt is doing (28% on this PPP survey) , Rick Perry is doing equally poor. Understand there are 10 more debates before the Iowa Caucus. Such favors Newt Gingrich's effort to a "tee." If he breaks into the 30 percentile ratings bracket, that will speak volumes as to his acceptance within the GOP.
Compare this poll with the CNN poll presented in our following post. An averaging of both polls would have Newt the clear front runner.
Rasmussen:
ReplyDeleteObama +12 over Gingrich.
heh
Willy, Willy, Willy, the man has to be up by 30 points to beat Gingrich by one.
