"I have established a war-time methodology that is neither imperialistic nor costly (by comparison). We were in Libya for 7 months, not ten years and look what has been accomplished."
That is the implicit commentary within the words of his opening address, this morning.
I wonder, will Obama ignore his developing failure in Egypt? Apparently, "democracy" is more important to him than the 35 year old Camp David peace treatise, the survival of Israel, the establishment of a pronounced anti-American government and the promotion of a genocidal action against the Christian population within Egypt. Egypt is being over-run by the Muslim Brotherhood. It threatens closure of the Suez Canal and is working to establish partnerships with Iran and Russia. All because Obama had to open his big mouth against Hosni Mubarak.
And Libya? He justifies going into that country to "stave off an anticipated massacre of the people of that country." During that same period of time, Obama "stands down" and watches as Syria kills off thousands of its own citizens. He is accomplished at standing around. Heck, he practiced for this time as he stood around and ignored the pleading of the young people in the Iranian Green Revolution, nearly two years ago. .
Did you know that 20,000 to 30,000 land to air missiles are missing from their storage units in Libya? No one has a clue where they are. But we know where they are not . . . . . in Libya.
Iraq. Did you know that Obama maintained no significant diplomatic presence in Iraq over the course of the past year? That is why we have to leave the country. We didn't bother to talk to them.
The truth regarding the Middle East is that it is lost to the benefit of the United States and, because of Obama, Israel is in the greatest danger of its short existence.
Never forget that our nation's Middle East Diplomatic Policy comes from the same man who once thought that we could offset our need for Middle Eastern oil by simply airing up our tires !! Geeeesh.
Bush spent a $trillion, killed 100,000 including 4000+ Americans, and committed war crimes.... still couldn't get bin Laden.
ReplyDeleteObama got bin Laden and Gaddafi quickly and without the expense.
Game over.
Not even close. The Bush effort in Iraq killed some 40,000 terrorists. This effort destroyed the jihadist community and set their recruitment goals back for generations. The 100,000 you mentioned? Apparently you are not aware that most of these people were killed by the jihadist hordes. I would suggest that you try to keep up with news and world events.
ReplyDeleteThe effort to kill bin Laden began 5 years ago and the strategy used to seek him out and kill him came from the Bush strategy. Obama was only an observer.
The American army in Iraq, were/are all volunteers and the popularity of Bush as Commander In Chief far exceeds that of the current Commander. The soldiers you pretend to care about, believed in their mission and thousands of them have even re-enlisted in order to return to the fight in Iraq.
“Without expense” is laughable. Billions have been spent in Obama’s Afghan war. His “rules of engagement” are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers. He has spent more than a billion in Libya as he “lead from behind.” If Libya goes the way of Egypt, well, we are all in trouble. The fact of the matter is this: the Middle East is a mess and much of this is solely the responsibility of the Obama Administration.
Let’s not forget that it is your side that thinks killing via drone attacks is preferable to the three occasions waterboarding was used.
