Midknight Review -- new and revised: The good guys kill rebel forces for the second time and blame . . . . . . . . rebel forces !!!

A couple of days ago, NATO forces destroyed tanks belonging to "the good guys." This is the second time NATO has killed rebels in the Libyan intervention rather than Gadafi forces. Here is a part of the report of this incidenct:

BENGHAZI, Libya — The deputy commander of NATO forces in Libya acknowledged Friday that the alliance struck rebel tanks outside the eastern oil town of Brega a day earlier but blamed the deadly incident on a lack of communication from the rebels.

In the report, we have the incidental reporting of what is wrong with this war: the good guys do not have adequate surveillance and, secondly, the NATO forces do not understand the rag tag nature of the rebel forces. Geraldo Rivera of Fox News reported three days ago, from the battlefields of Libya, that the rebels forces have no, none, nada, military training. When NATO bombs the Gadafi forces and those forces retreat, the rebels run into the resulting void and stay until the Gadafi forces regroup and return. There are no "lines of defense," no military strategies, no coordination of forces. For NATO to blame the rebels for the incident reported above, is similar to a parent blaming his 5 year old kid for the families indebtedness. Stupid wrong.

Understand that these Libyan rebels, Muslims all, are men who -- just a few days ago -- were store owners, doctors, teachers, students and mechanics. OF COURSE THEY DID NOT EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE. Geeeeesh. The real "boobs" in all this are the United States and its NATO comrades. And, it is the second time NATO has killed rebels.

I have lost count of the number of times this Administration (Obama) has mentioned "reading the papers" to find intel information. One of the first things Obama did when becoming president was to take down CIA interrogation units and give that responsibility to the FBI. The FBI was to have installed high valued interrogation units but never did. No telling what else did not get done in Obama's revamping of the nation's intelligence community; for certain the Marxist Media will not be running any stories on this.

The Stated Nonsense from the Left now includes these Progressive goals:

July 2, 2008, Obama had this to say: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
