Since this mess in the Middle East began, oil has risen 21 dollars per barrel.
Air travel is effected. All commodities are effect -- such as food, clothing, fuel and home heating -- have increased because of rising transportation costs. The battle is on to keep inflation from becoming a runaway threat to our way of life.
Understand that we have not gotten out from under the curse of the recession. The fact that inflation may be just around the corner offers a rather dismal requisite climate for the immediate future of our economy.
Point of post: to remind us all of the existential threat that is embedded in Obama's mishandling of the Middle East crisis.
