When it was all said and done, Palan, beginning with the primaries, endorsed 64 candidates. 49 of those survived the primaries with 33 winners on Tuesday. No other single individual recommended more hopeful politicians nor saw more endorsements achieve victory.
Not all needed her endorsements, but these are a few of those who accepted her attention and stand in concert with the Governor: Rick Perry, Governor of Texas for a third term; Pat Toomey, Senator from Pennsylvania; Allen West, a US Rep out of Florida; Marco Rubio, Senator from Florida; Nikki Haley, Governor in S. Carolina; Rand Paul, Senator in Kentucky; Kelly Ayotte, Senator from New Hampshire; Mary Fallin, Governor in Oklahoma; Michele Bachmann, Representative out of Minnesota; Susana Martinez, Governor of New Mexico; Butch Otter, Governor in Idaho. In all, six of her eleven Senate endorsements won (and we’re still waiting for Alaskan results), as did twenty-one of her forty-one House endorsements and six of her eleven gubernatorial candidates will be taking office as well.
While Palin shared in one of the most important conservative victories in American history, she, herself, tripled the value of her political capitol. State governors, representatives and senators all benefited from her presence. Her presence in the GOP can no longer be ignored. Long past are the failed interviews with Charlie Gibson or Katie Couric.
Most importantly, the careful observer could sense the confidence on the part of Palin as she went from one election day interview to another. She continues to be called names and maligned as stupid, even moronic. Understand that when folks have nothing else to say, they reduce themselves to status of the pathetic.
Palin is here to stay and she is in great company.
