Editor's notes: this is an article straight from the Jounalolist/CNN cabal. It represents the case against "big money" in the GOP camp as if the Dems were not even more guilty. The article continues the Democrat whining about Citizens United, a High Court decision that established corporate political speech as protected speech. No more can the Dems bad mouth the corporate world without a response.
Understand that all of the Democrat campaign reform actions omit the unions from the reform legislation. THAT is why the GOP has voted against recent campaign finance bills. They put restrictions on corporations but not on unions. After reading the above referenced article, consider these facts:
1. The NEA (National Education Association) and the American Federation of Teachers just gave $40 million to select Democrat candidates. LINK . . .This compares to the $50 million given to Obama in 2008.
2. The AFL-CIO donated $10 million to Blanche Lincoln, a Democrat House member. LINK
3. Here is a list documenting some $11 million is union money to Democrat pundits not including Lincoln:

5. Since 2007, Wall Street donated $20 million to the Dems in the same time period it gave $13 million to the GOP. It is a glaring myth that Wall Street favors the GOP over the Dems. Absolutely not true. In fact, the majority of the top 500 corporations are chaired by Progressives such as Bill Gates of Microsoft fame.
FoxNews reported plans of the AFL-CIO and SEIU partnership to generate between $88 million and $100 million in this campaign cycle, alone.
6. Keep in mind that Obama collected and spent some $770 million in his '08 campaign, smashing the old record of $330 million. $178 million of that money came from 4.6 million donors while the rest came from private 530 - C-3 institutions. That's nearly 600 million dollars NOT fully vetted, money coming from sources unknown.
Point of Post: the Dems put the GOP to shame in nearly every campaign season since 1959. Such is the political economy of present times. Dems, stop whining.
