Nidal Hasan, the murdering Muslim at Fort Hood, a military doctor and friend to a number of the soldiers he shot on November 5, 2009, was filmed committing the murders by one of the soldiers Hasan attacked.
Where is that video? Pfc. Lance Aviles told an Article 32 hearing that he was ordered to destroy the video on the same day of the shootings.
This was reported by a Yahoo news service that made the revelation and moved on, in the article, without any discussion whatsoever as if the destruction of evidence is something that is only a causal circumstance instead of a serious violation of law.
Before leaving this story behind, for the time being, we have a question: why is this prosecution being treated as if this trial is not a slam dunk?
Some will argue that "no trial is a slam dunk," to which we say "BS." Look, the man was shot during the murders and taken into custody AT THE SCENE OF THE CRIME. There are 32 eye witnesses !! And he confessed. Of course this is a slam dunk. So, again, we ask, "Why is this trial being treated as if conviction is in doubt? " Is there some sort of surprise coming our way? Time will tell.
