Democrats take in $220 million more than the GOP. So who needs to be transparent ??

664 million to 442 million.

What's this? Well, it is the total funding raised, to date, for each of the political parties. Which is the winner? The Dems of course by a margin of $220 million big ones. These numbers come from the left leaning "non-partisan" site known as "OpenSecrets.org." Midknight Review carried this blog on our blogroll, at one time. But, we took the site down from our recommended reading due to its left leaning editorial bias, something the site's owner pretends to avoid. Still, it is a huge site for the collection of information. Understand that the "left leaning" thingy is not the problem. It is the pretense to be otherwise.

We present the above numbers for our post but without the ability at this writing to verify these totals. Understand that if these totals are true, the Democrats are the worst of hypocrites, pretending to be at a disadvantage because of the Citizens United vs Federal Elections Commission.

What is not factored into this equation are the monies raised by the individual candidates and that sum can be substantial. For example, Obama raised $770 million in his 2008 campaign for president. Compare that total to the Democrat total, above. In the current election cycle, Sharron Angle has raised a national record high for midterm campaigning of 14 million dollars and Michelle Bachmann has set a similar state record ffund rasiing, sharron angle, Michelle Bachmann, opensecrets, left leaning, or Minnesota of 5 million.
