Say what you will - Sarah Palin's heart IS in the right place. So is the very Progressive Bill Gates. Is there common ground ?? We think so.

While the Left is spewing its hate and plotting its boycotts; while it is working out the details of its final assault on the America we have known for the past 300 years (it began before the Declaration !!); while it yearns for the personal destruction of people like Glenn Beck and Governor Palin, here is a video recommended to her fans from Sarah Palin. This posted video actually gave birth to the posted comments that follow (scroll down one notch).

I forget who coined the phrase, "compassionate conservatism," (Bush 41 ??) but I do remember that it was regarded as somewhat of a novelty. Shame on us if that continues to be the case. The Left has its camp of crooks, thieves and liars. The Right has its share of these degenerates, as well. But there is a rather large population on the Left that sincerely cares about the poor and needy, so much so, that they (all those liberal do-gooders) are uncomfortable living above the poor. Indealistic to the core ? Oh, you betcha. Dreaming of green jobs that will employ all and a world of full of wonder and peace and love. Yes, indeed. But if we, as conservatives, cannot take compassion and a sense of social concern passed the "novelty" stage, I am afraid we cannot win the righteous political war we are fighting. . . . . . and we all lose, as a consequence.
