Our theory? Bill Clinton is an omen.

Bill Clinton blasts Rand Paul, GOP tactics at UK rally for Conway — Former President Bill Clinton campaigned for Attorney General Jack Conway in Lexington on Monday, delivering a hard-nosed repudiation . . . . .

Editor's notes: Midknight Review has a theory when it comes to election outcome predictions and here it is; if Bill Clinton is called in to help the particular campaign, that politician loses the election. Our theory began to develop in 1994. While Bill was busy appearing on MTV and talking about "briefs or boxers" as the President of the United States, he was losing voter popularity. So much so that by 1994, his first midterm election, the Democrat controlled House and Senate "went over" to the GOP in one of the most surprising national election outcomes in modern history.

Since then, a full 85% of those for whom he campaigned have lost their election bids, not the least of which has been Hillary in the Democrat Primary. Understand that the losses to which we refer are not his "fault." Rather, our point is simply that he is a bad omen. And now he has gone to Kentucky to help defeat Rand Paul. Understand that Bill Clinton couldn't save his party, Al Gore or his own wife, and now, he is in Kentucky.

Anyone want to place a wager on the election?
