Last week, we reported a total of 462,000 unemployed first time applicants. This week, the numbers come in at a low 452,000. Analysts suggest that this was lower than the 455,000 expected and 23,000 lower than the week before. Huh ?? Let's back up just a moment. If we add the reported 452,000 and the 23,000 numbers, we come up with a "week before" total of 475,000, not 462,000. What is going on?
Simple. The Obama government jacked up the previous weeks totals in order to make the argument that "things are substantially improving." Smoke and mirrors, not to mention blatantly dishonest. Hey, but the Left justifies the means, right ?
Add to this mixed story, the Gallup unemployment percentage of 10% (down in Gallup from 10.1% the month before), and you have a very discouraging picture. Understand that in February of 2009, Obama was promising unemployment at under 8% with a 7% total for this time in his administration of the economy. Turns out that he did not know what he was talking about. And his minions were in full agreement.
Keep this in mind as you consider your vote this coming November 2.
