AMSTERDAM — Dutch anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders went on trial Monday for alleged hate speech, even as his popularity and influence in the Netherlands are near all time highs.

Prosecutors say Wilders incited hatred against Muslims with remarks comparing Islam to Naziism and by calling for a ban on the Quran. Wilders argues he has a right to freedom of speech and his remarks were within the bounds of the law. If convicted, he faces up to a year in prison. He could keep his seat in parliament. >>>>>

Editor's notes: ever wonder why we have "hate speech laws" when there are plenty of slander laws on the books? Ever wonder why we have "hate crime laws" when trial and conviction is all that is needed? Well, the story above, is the reason. The Marxists among us, the anti-freedom folk now running the government and recently attending the Union Rally in DC (also called the One Nation rally), need these types of law so they can criminalize descent and control the opposition. THAT is how they intend to rid the nation of the likes of Rush Limbaugh and, even, blogs such as Midknight Review. Understand that the leaders in today's Democrat Party have co-opted that party for the socialist/Marxist movement in this country. These radicals were running wild at the DC rally this past weekend. They make up much of the Obama staff and they are vicious.

Understand that we have hate speech laws in California. The minute Prop 8 is finally defeated and marriage between the queer folk in our midst is law, "silence" will be the rule of the day and the use of such words as "queer" will be criminalized. This editor opposes "marriage" between two guys who are not physically equipped for marriage, if you know what I mean, because if such is law, these clowns will order my silence. It will be illegal for me to object to this trash being taught in our school. It will be illegal to preach against it in our churches or to write about it in our correspondence. Such is the case in Canada, France, the Netherlands, and much of Europe, already.

Look - if I can't describe the male to male act with the words, "He took his . . . and stuck it in his pal's . . ., then celebrated the after-glow with a bath of disinfectant," maybe, just maybe, the act runs counter to nature. You think ??!!

Who knows -- maybe we should all convert to Islam and let the big dogs in that religion deal with the issue. We all know how they would handle the issue, right?
