In two campaign stops Thursday, Mr. Obama invoked what he portrayed as a specific new example, citing a blog posting from a liberal advocacy group as he teed off on a longtime adversary, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, over its political spending.

“Just this week, we learned that one of the largest groups paying for these ads regularly takes in money from foreign corporations,” Mr. Obama said. “So groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections.”

But a closer examination shows that there is little evidence that what the chamber does in collecting overseas dues is improper or even unusual, according to both liberal and conservative election-law lawyers and campaign finance documents.

In fact, the controversy over the Chamber of Commerce financing may say more about the Washington spin cycle — where an Internet blog posting can be quickly picked up by like-minded groups and become political fodder for the president himself — than it does about the vagaries of campaign finance.

Organizations from both ends of the political spectrum, from liberal ones like the A.F.L.-C.I.O. and the Sierra Club to conservative groups like the National Rifle Association, have international affiliations and get money from foreign entities while at the same time pushing political causes in the United States.

In addition, more than 160 political action committees active in campaigning have been set up by corporations that are based overseas, including military contractors like B.A.E. Look, what happened to Target Inc. when it was made known that it supported a certain Republican candidate? MoveOn.org tried to get the company charged with criminal activity and has demonstrated outside Target stores in an effort to do harm to that company. THAT is the reason why political campaign donations must be kept secret. Understand that it is only the Left that uses social incrimination to win an election. When was the last time you saw a group of "right wing bigots" demonstrating in front of a store for the purpose of shutting it down? When was the last time you saw or heard of a right wing demonstration on the porch and front yard of a left wing opponent ? Again we say, the Right does not fight that way . . . . only the Left does this.

A part of Marxist social progression that is never mentioned, in this country, is the belief on the part of Karl Marx that social change only takes place after a violent uprising of the so-called middle class. This editor worked in construction of more than 25 years. On occasion, we would have union thugs come onto our job site and sabotage our equipment. The editor has never heard of an organized attack on a union construction site. It only works the other way around. Period.

If the Left decides it cannot succeed without an armed conflict, as is the case in many countries down through time, it just might resort to armed conflict . . . . to which we say, "Bring it on." No one wants to turn this country into a third world battlefield, but this nation will never be over run by the Marxists in our midst. The ballot box is on our side and millions of us have the art of self defense down pat !!!
