Last year at the much touted Climate Conference in Copenhagen, China, the U.S. and others pledge specifically to reduce so-called "green house emissions" by 2020. Bloomberg is reporting that China has decided to forgo their pledge, charging that the established industrialized nations such as the United States, should pledge to do more while the third world is busy trying to catch up to the industrialized economies of the more "advanced" nations.
What is never mentioned in these news stories are the penalties and fines that are to be paid if the participating countries fail in their agreements. Billions and billions in fines and penalties are involved. China, India and Brazil all opted out of the Copenhagen agreement for this reason.
Why the fines and penalties? Redistribution of wealth to poorer nations. It is becoming clear that "one world governance" includes a rather dictatorial relationship of the richer nations over the poorer nations, however. To be sure, funds will be transferred from the rich to the poor, but just like any Obama/Marxist/Big Government transfer, the new funding comes with added regulations. The developing nations of the world see these regulations as impediments to their continued industrialization. Many of them are refusing climate control treaties because of these regulations and the drive for a One World nirvana is dead in the water.
