NY Times vs Obama's book burning nonsense: more on the Operation Dark Heart censorship.

See this book. It has been ordered off the shelves and destroyed by the transparent minded Barack Hussein Obama. The military approved the printing but not Obama.

WASHINGTON — The National Security Agency, headquarters for the government’s eavesdroppers and code breakers, has been located at Fort Meade, Md., for half a century. Its nickname, the Fort, has been familiar for decades to neighbors and government workers alike.

Yet that nickname is one of hundreds of supposed secrets Pentagon reviewers blacked out in the new, censored edition of an intelligence officer’s Afghan war memoir. The Defense Department is buying and destroying the entire uncensored first printing of “Operation Dark Heart,” by Anthony Shaffer, a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve and former Defense Intelligence Agency officer, in the name of protecting national security.

Another supposed secret removed from the second printing: the location of the Central Intelligence Agency’s training facility — Camp Peary, Va., a fact discoverable from Wikipedia. And the name and abbreviation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, routinely mentioned in news articles. And the fact that Sigint means “signals intelligence.”

Not only did the Pentagon black out Colonel Shaffer’s cover name in Afghanistan, Chris Stryker, it deleted the source of his pseudonym: the name of John Wayne’s character in the 1949 movie “The Sands of Iwo Jima” . . . . . . . . . you need to read the full article >>>>

Editor's notes: understand that Obama does not believe in the unqualified notion of free political speech. Here is a perfect and telling example. Col. Shaffer sought and received approval from the military for the publication of his book. On the morning just before it was announced that the book would be taken off the shelves by the Administration, Col Shaffer appeared on FoxNews and talked about his book. In the afternoon of the same day, he made another appearance on Fox. This time, he had absolutely nothing to say about his book; nothing about the government's recall and destruction of his book; nothing about his feelings on the matter . . . . . nothing. The only thing he said was, "I am still a member of the military." And there you have it. To think that the Marxist Media and the whiners in Hollywood ever thought to complain about the Patriot Act.

Col Shaffer was told to "shut the hell up" by his military/Obama bosses and nothing could be clearer. There have been a few censored copies releases by the publisher to the press, apparently. You see what has been done on just one page.
