How much of the Stimulus has been spent that has to do with jobs creation????? Try 16 %. Don't believe us?

We have run this very story before but it is so startling but it bears repeating. Most of the monies spent out of the Stimulus has gone to propping up unemployment. Understand that the $787 Stimulus has grown to $879 billion. You will see the correction total of $861 billion but that does not reflect the latest uptake against the Stimulus that is an 18 billion dollar add-on for unemployment benefits. In fact, all of the monies in addition to the original $787 billion total is due to increased benefit payments. Stimulus is a monumental failure when held up to its original statement of purpose(s) as presented by Obama. He promised the Stimulus bill would create or say 3.5 million jobs by years end. The actual total according to Obama's own site, Recovery.gov, is a little over 681,000 jobs. He told us that this bill would keep unemployment under 8%. Currently it is at 9.9% and promises to be well above 8% for years into the future. The Stimulus not did not keep unemployment in check, it had no influence at all on the jobs market. 600,000 jobs is next to nothing. And the estimated expenditure of no more than 16% of the Stimulus monies that go to creating jobs is, ah . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . next to nothing. Understand that the total for jobs related categories is $379 billion. We estimate that less than 62 billion dollars has been spent to date or the equivalent of 1.5 miles of four lane highway per state. Obviously, what is happening in this economy as relates to both "recovery" and "jobs creation" has little to nothing to do with whatever Mr. Obama claims to be doing. Anyway, here is the chart from the CBO upon which we base our factual review:

Stimulus Spending is Too Slow-Less than 25% Will be Spent in 2009
