The truth about gun violence in the United Sates . . . the absolute truth:

USA TODAY
No, Mr. President, the NRA is not to blame: Chris Cox, NRA-ILA Executive Director
Just when we think that politics can’t sink any lower, President Obama once again proves us wrong by politicizing the tragedy in San Bernardino before the facts were even known. What we do know is that the American people are heartbroken by these horrific crimes — and despite what the president would have us believe — America’s law-abiding gun owners are heartbroken by these horrific crimes as well. At the same time, we are sick and tired of this president suggesting the men and women of the National Rifle Association are somehow to blame.

Editor's notes:  Understand that nothing Obama or his mindless cronies envision as "gun control laws,"  would have stopped or,  in anyway whatsoever,  mitigated the terrorist attack in San Bernardino,  this past week  . . . . . .   nothing.

In fact,  it is intellectually insulting for someone to suggest that taking guns away from me and the 6 million members of the NRA would solve the gun violence problem in this country or,  in any way,  lessen the stats that frame the issue.

And lying about the extent of the problem does not help.  You have a bogus study by Reddit that finds 355 mass shootings,  in 2015 alone when the FBI says there were 40 that resulted in 4 deaths or more,  per event.  In the Reddit number,  147 events did not involve a single death.

But,  let's put that 355 number in context by parsing another number the Left loves to use,  over and over again.  "33,000."  That is the approximate number of deaths "as a result of gun violence."

I offer that last phrase in quotes,  because this is the kind of language the Left uses to frame their side of the debate.  So,  how does the 33,000 number break down?  65% of that number (21,400) are suicides;  another 10,000 are deaths caused by our inner city gangs,  domestic terrorist all.  Combined,  we have a sub-total of 31,400.  The remaining 1600 deaths include the deaths resulting from mass shootings,  cop shooting of which 99.5% are wholly justified, suicide by cop,  and,  accidental shootings.

You can't prevent a single suicidal death via legislation  . . .   even if that legislation includes gun confiscation.  Folks bent on suicide will figure out how to be successful in their effort(s).  The 10,000 gang murders?  Buy an island and send the gangland punks there.  In other words,  don't get rid of the guns,  get ride of the pathological punks who use them,  along with their knives,  chains and clubs.  The 1600 remaining deaths?  There are things we can do to less this number.

And, to be serious,  there are things we can do to reduce the numbers that total gang membership.

Understand that gun violence is at a 20 year low,  despite the constant reminder.

Now you know.

While mass shootings may be up, gun violence continues to register historic low totals.

In 1993, there were seven homicides by firearm for every 100,000 Americans, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. By 2013, that figure had fallen by nearly half, to 3.6 — a total of 11,208 firearm homicides. The number of victims of crimes involving guns that did not result in death (such as robberies) declined even more precipitously, from 725 per 100,000 people in 1993 to 175 in 2013.

Editor's notes:   While the Marxists and Lefties among us,  use "355" as the accepted number of mass shootings,  in 2015,  The FIB comes up with 160 shootings    . . . . . . . .   since the year 2000 !!!

Turns out that in 147 of the 355 Left Wing total,  no one was killed,  and in another 104 cases,  only one person did.
Contrasting the 355 mass shooting propaganda of the Left,  the FBI tells us than there only 40 mass shootings,  in 2015,  not 355.

Another bogus number touted by the Left is "33,000,"  the supposed number of deaths due to gun violence in 2015.  21,40 of these were suicides and another 10,000 were due to gang violence,  leaving just 1,600 deaths due to cop killings, mass murders, and, accidental deaths.

Now you know.

Note to Liberal's who think San Bernarddino was about the lack of gun controls:

The readership should know that California has ALL of the gun laws Barack Obama  and his horde of peace-niks have been calling for,  for years.  Our state laws include limited magazine capacity; "universal" registration within the state;  a written test;  a separate security check for every gun purchases except those purchases on the same day;  a ten day waiting period;  no direct gun purchases via online purchase or purchase from outside the borders of California;  no permits for the mentally ill or for proven felons; no  gun show "loop holes" (all guns purchased at a gun are regulated to include a 10 waiting period,  written tests,  and pick up at a registered dealer.

I own four guns in this legislative climate, as well as several hundred rounds of ammo for my shotguns and 9mm   . . . .    all of this legal.

I have no intentions of ever complying with a confiscation order.  At the same,  I intend to submit to all laws that allow ownership after their implementation,  whether I agree with the particular law or not.

Understand that I am not the problem,  here.  My guns are for home defense and an occasional trip to the range.  I do not hunt.  When I write,  "I am not the problem,"  I mean to include all those honest gun owners across the United States  -  virtually all of the 6 million NRA members.

Understand that when the Left uses the misleading number  "33,000,"  in describing annual gun deaths in this country,  that number includes 21,400 suicides  (65%)   and another 10 million deaths by regional domestic terrorist known as "inner city gangs."  The total of these two categories is,  obviously, 31,400.  The remaining 1,600 deaths includes mass shootings,  death by cop during an arrest situation and accidental deaths by gun,
