Forbes: The week that brought the first live
televised impeachment hearings before the House Intelligence Committee
gave Fox News Channel its highest-rated week of the year–and its best
ratings since the 2018 midterm elections.
With an average audience
of 1.697 million viewers, Fox News was the most-watched basic cable
network in total day ratings, as compiled by Nielsen. Fox led MSNBC
(1.294 million), ESPN (1.129 million), Hallmark Channel (898,000) and
CNN (823,000).In prime time, Fox easily outpaced its cable news rivals, finishing behind ESPN as the second most-watched network in cable with an average audience of 2.832 million viewers. MSNBC was third overall with 2.007 million, followed by Hallmark Channel (1.602 million) and Home and Garden TV (1.049 million) . . . . . . . . . The coverage led Hannity to the top of cable news ratings for the week, and the program was also the top-rated non-sports show in cable with 4.4 million viewers, followed by FNC’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, with 4 million.
