The leaders of the Senate has postponed the August recess, a recess used by Senators to campaign for office in an election just nine weeks following August.
The reason given for this is rather obvious. The Dems have been so effective in their refusal to participate in the work of the Senate, to the tune that more than 500 bills sent to the Senate by the House have not been given legislative attention.
Now, of course, the Dems will try to convince the voters that Mitchel's decision to cancel the recess is a trick to keep the Dems from running effective campaigns. In reality, Dems are reaping that which they have sown. When you work at half speed, you will need to twice as much to accomplish the same amount of work.
