Here is what is hilarious about the Weinstein Scandal: That Hollywood and its pundits pretend to have moral authority to speak out on . . . . . . . . ahhh . . . . . . . anything. What a stinking joke.
Understand that this scandal makes the Trump Access Hollywood video appear to be a lead-in for a values rated discussion on how to treat someone's mother.
We are finding out that Harvey Weinstein is only one of many power brokers in Hollywood who are disgusting, sick and perverted professionsals. He and his ilk have been busy casting women and some men, based upon sexual favor, and have been doing so for 30, 40, 50 years. And yet, these perverts have time to preach to the rest of us about morality, the sanctity of life (after birth) and the evils of gun violence. Keep in mind that this industry makes its living off of horror, gore, gun violence, and the most perverted of moral "values." The Right, and in this case, we are indeed right, has nothing to compare to this fully blown scandal.
You should know that the Weinstein Scandal is an indictment against the largest cesspool of moral degenerates in American history. Mirmax and Dream Works draw much of their talent from the Weinsten Company, and that company is about to go up in smoke.
The impact of this moral debacle is almost beyond description. Only time will tell the truth, but for certain, the next time Hollywood takes a moral stand for the sake of their precious political agenda, "hypocrisy" will march onto the same stage preceded by the laughter of thousands.
You really are a genius. Just because there is another sexual predator out there doesn't mean the other ones are absolved of the sins. There is no hierarchy. Each sexual predator is scum. I don't care if he's a movie producer, the host of a Fox news show, the quarterback of the Steelers or the President of the United States.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. But the Weinstein scandal is especially evil in that it involves virtually all of Hollywood is complicit at one level or another. MOre than this, we know know what us conservatives have always suspected: The Weinstein way is the way casting assignments work in Hollywood. Jane Fonda has no claim to moral authority when it is clear that she sat on this scandal and did nothing while preaching to the rest of the world with regard to her agenda of crap. Bill O'Reilly's nonsense did not and does not effect me. Hollywood's hypocrisy does. They pollute the minds of our children and preach against moral standards.
