The huge problem with Trump comparing Robert E. Lee to George Washington
President mentioned the destruction of Robert E Lee's statue, and said, "What's next, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson."
His point was not that were similar men in their politics. They had one thing in common, each own slaves. Trump could not have been more clear, which means that Matthew Yglesias (didn't he used to be at Think Progress?) is deliberately adding a false context to Trump's statement.
This is a presidency that is being taken down with nothing but lies. Trump does not help his cause, but the lies coming from the Left number in the thousands, literally.
What a shame . . . and if the Dems think the Right will accept their candidate, they have another thing coming.
