Apparently the Renegade currently occupying our White House has decided to be as divisive as possible in his last days ("renegade" is Obama's choice for a Secret Service handle, btw).

You may not know this,  but ALL of the land on which the Northern pipeline is being built is or was  private property.  None of it is on Reservation property.  The property was allocated by the Federal government back in 1851 and,  eventually,  money was awarded to the tribes involved in the confiscation.  What confuses some,  is the fact that the tribes never accepted the money.  Nonetheless,  in a functional sense,  the properties invilved have not been Indian property for over a century and a half.  Two federal courts have decided in favor of the pipeline,  and access under the Missouri River at this very geographical location,  first occurred back in 1983.  The Northern Pipeline is using the same easement as that which has existed for the past 34 years.  What is worse than Obama's last minute rejection of this pipeline by the Army Corp of Engineers,  is the fact that the Corp has been instructed to review all permits used in the construction of this project.  Such last gasp actions make as much sense as Jill Stein's recount idiocy.  I have always believed that the modern day European Liberal suffers from some sort of mental disorder.  This event is proof of my concern.

What’s notable about the Northern Border pipeline is that it parallels the site where the Dakota Access Pipeline will cross the Missouri River at Lake Oahe, precisely the same spot where the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is now attempting to “protect the water.”
You can now see the folly in the many arguments that seem to shift daily among members of the pipeline protesters.
With a pipeline already crossing the Missouri north of Cannon Ball, Dakota Access is making the prudent decision to mitigate impact, and utilize existing cultural resource knowledge, in conjunction with multiple consultations directly with Native American tribes and nations and through the federal government.
There can be no argument that a pipeline would ultimately do irreparable harm to the Missouri River, or to cultural sites in Morton County, because a pipeline already exists in those

US Army Corps of Engineers Official Creates Regulation Out of Thin Air with Dakota Access Decision

With yesterday’s decision, President Obama has all but publically confirmed that the rule of law is a circumstantial entity that can be enforced or ignored when it suits his political will.
Assistant Secretary of the Army Jo-Ellen Darcy, essentially admitted in her memorandum  that she was writing new regulations:

The “circumstances” the Obama Administration is referring to are the months of illegal and violent protesting his administration emboldened, uninformed celebrity endorsements, and an anti-industry legacy at stake.…
